Comic books and comic strips in news papers have always been a source of attraction or giving some sort of social message or mere sarcasm. It is the work of a cartoonist to potray life on a blank sheet and express his ideas through sketches. In simple words a cartoonist is a person who specialises in drawing cartoons. Cartoons can be used to present important issues to millions of people in an easily understood form. Formal training to become a cartoonist includes high school courses in art, history, political science , government and literature. One may go to art school to study drawing, lettering, typography and computer graphics . there one also learns to create a variety of cartoon types using different tools and media. A few art schools offer graduation in cartooning. Correspondence schools also offer certain cartooning courses. Since computers have become integral to the field , advanced skill in computer graphics is required.

A Cartoonist who can find humor in the ordinary will have the opportunity to work for newspapers, broadcasting, or design websites. Although computer’s aid has changed this field considerably but still a cartoonist is expected to be creative and humorous in your thoughts and vision.
