A robot is an automatically controlled re-programmable , multipurpose manifestation machine with or without locomotion. One can also enter the field with an associate degree in robotics or automated manufacturing technology. Courses in a robotics technology program should include hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and blueprint reading. The Manufacturing Engineering Certification Institute of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers provides an opportunity for robotics techs with four years of experience to receive professional certification This can range from one to two years of additional master’s in electrical and/or mechanical engineering work for an operating engineer, to several years for the doctorate, which opens up jobs in design and research.
